Ottawa Hills defeated Emmanuel Christian 62-30 last night at Ottawa Hills. The win keeps the Green Bears tied atop the TAAC standings with Toledo Christian.
Ottawa Hills (15-2, 10-1) led by six at the break before opening up in the second half.
Brent Abendroth scored 25 points to lead the Green Bears. Phillip Beans added 11 and J.J. Buckey 10. Eliot Browarsky had 10 assists to go with six points.
Josh Buck paced the Warriors (5-13, 4-8) with eight points.
Maumee Valley 88,
The Hawks jumped out to a 27-13 lead after one quarter and utilized some clutch free throw shooting down the stretch to preserve the win.
Maumee Valley finished 18 of 26 at the line in the fourth quarter. Carter Bayer carried the load with 27 points, including 11 made free throws.
Among the four other players in double figures for the Hawks (6-11, 2-9), Shawn Hassen had 15, Omar Nazzal scored 13, Michael Beck added 11 and Lee Bigelow tallied 10.
Ryan Canady poured in 28 points for the host Rangers (4-14, 1-10).
Danny Koch finished with 14 points and Chris Keith chipped in with 12.
