Achter's 36 points pace Clay over Fremont Ross

A.J. Achter scored 36 points to spark Clay to a 64-55 home victory over Fremont Ross last night in boys basketball.

Achter scored 17 in the third quarter.

Zac Taylor had 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Eagles (8-4).

Kory Clayton led Ross (4-8) with 20 points. Ryan Croudup tallied 11 and Devin Johnson 10.

START 53, FINDLAY 45

Chris Wilson scored 19 points, 13 in the fourth quarter, and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead host Start (8-3).

Robert Lonas added 14 points.

Luke Kraus scored 13 and Tyler Birchmeier had 11 for Findlay (10-2).

ST. FRANCIS 48, ELIDA 44

ELIDA - Nick Meinert scored 16 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, and Kevin Henry added 11 for St. Francis (7-4).

Bo Mathias had 13 points for Elida (3-9).

WAUSEON 68, DELTA 32

WAUSEON - Chris Villalovos led Wauseon (10-2) with 24 points in a nonleague game. Elliott Mealer had 13 and Kevin Elson added 11.

Marcus Vicars paced Delta (5-7) with nine.

GENOA 68, OLD FORT 44

OLD FORT - Chris Bassitt scored 13 points and Isaac Peloquin added 12 for Genoa (10-2).

Old Fort (4-8) was led by Kent Kohlenberg's 15 points.

GIBSONBURG - Gibsonburg (6-7) was led by 17 points and 10 rebounds from Jordan Kirwen.

Brad Betz had 18 points for Swanton (7-7).

WEST UNITY-Jordan Burdue scored 18 and Evan Tiplady 12 to pace Liberty Center. Jeremy Hartman led Hilltop with 10 points.

SANDUSKY - Bryin Erhardt tallied 24 points for St. Mary (10-3). Ryan Heath added 15.

Nick Wiedenhoft led Danbury (4-8) with 17. Michael Hamann had 14. Kyle Shafer and Ben Cantu added 10 each.

FINDLAY - Nathan Hyde paced Liberty-Benton (12-0) with 22 points. T.J. Recker added 17.

Jason Wehri led Ottoville (9-3) with eight.

DEFIANCE - Jordan Jaggers poured in 29 points for Stryker. Evan Brown had 16.

Jon Gerken led Tinora with 17 points.

DEFIANCE - Bryn Lehman led Defiance with 25 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter.

Cameron Stykemain added 14 for the Bulldogs (3-8).

Ben Wonderly scored 16 and

Ross Joost 11 for Fairview (4-8), which led 36-32 entering the fourth quarter.

TIFFIN - Austin Mass scored 26 points, including nine in the second overtime, to lead Calvert (7-5). Tyler Wise finished with 17, Jacob Lucius 15 and Troy Keller 11.

Drew Hipp topped St. Paul (5-7) with 24. Ryan Hill added 17 and Brad Frank 13.

HICKSVILLE - The Aces (9-4) were paced by 16 points apiece from Jordan Gerbers and Brandon Cover.

North Central (1-11) was led by Derrick Wyrick's 18 points.

DOLA - Cory Herr finished with 28 points for North Baltimore (6-8). Nick Brossia had 19 and Luke Wymer 14.

Chase Motter topped Hardin Northern (4-9) with 16. Cody Price added 10.

ADA - Kyler Baker led Ada with 26. Zac Dysert had 22.

Joe Marshall paced Cory-Rawson with 25. Justin Parinello had 18 and Wells Faine 16.

SANDUSKY - Kelsey Williams led Sandusky with 22 points.

Sean Elswick paced Port Clinton with 22. Jason Cellier had 18.

VAN WERT - Jared Myers led Van Wert (12-0) with 15.

Matt Jones and Andy Shaffer had 12 each for Bryan (2-11)
