Perrysburg survives scare from Springfield

Springfield gave visiting Perrysburg a scare, but the Yellow Jackets stayed unbeaten with a 45-30 victory in girls Northern Lakes League basketball last night with a substantial advantage at the free throw line and in the first and fourth quarters.

Perrysburg (10-0, 13-0) outscored Springfield 14-2 in the first quarter and 13-3 in the fourth.

And the Yellow Jackets hit 16 of 26 free throws to the Blue Devils' 6 of 9.

Demi Moschetti led Perrrysburg with nine points and Morgan Coulter led Springfield (9-9, 7-6) with eight.

BOWLING GREEN 51

BOWLING GREEN - The Generals made 13 of 15 foul shots in the fourth quarter and 18 of 27 for the game. The Bobcats made 10 of 17 for the night.

Erika Schmidt led the Generals (10-8, 8-5 NLL) with 19 points and Hayley Barrett added 11.

Hayley Williford scored 14, Bethany Hoehner 11 and Liz Hammer and Jessica Sikula 10 each for the Bobcats (7-12, 4-9).

Olivia Fouty scored a game-high 14 points and grabbed a team-best 10 rebounds for the Wildcats (14-5, 10-3 NLL).

Stephanie Rentschler added 12 points for Northview.

Nicole Nirschl led Rossford (0-18, 0-13) with 13 points and Anne Yenrick finished with 10.

Jenna Vermilya made four 3-point shots on the way to 13 points to lead Southview (12-5, 9-3 NLL).

Tiffany Scott added 11.

Kyle Rubini led Maumee (1-11, 2-15) with six points.

FINDLAY - Danielle Sallisbury led Findlay (8-9) with 14 points and Dannyel Butte added 10.

Mikaela Tolbert led Defiance (8-9) with 11 points.

OAK HARBOR - Lexi Rohrbach scored 21 points and Megan Miller added 17 for Tiffin Columbian.

Sam Scott led Oak Harbor with 13.

DEXTER, Mich. - Amelia Davis pumped in a game-high 19 points and Kaylee Foster added 15 to help the Mules improve to 15-0.
