Kynard keys Start win

Maleeka Kynard scored 18 points and Jaymie Jackson added 11 last night for host Start (2-0) in a 63-41 girls basketball victory over Columbus Brookhaven.

Travesia Franklin scored 15 for Brookhaven.

Shekinah Alexander led host Scott (0-3) with 16 points. Keziah Flunder scored 15 and Tiarra Hague had 10.

Infiniti Maxwell notched 13 points for Detroit Consortium (3-0).

LIBERTY CENTER - Lauren Abendroth scored 20 points, including 14 in the first quarter to lead Ottawa Hills (2-0) Nancy Rumpf added 13 and Cimone Reid had 12.

Ellen Davenport scored 11 points for the Tigers (3-1).

OLD FORT - Heather Bahnsen scored 11 points to lead the Lakers.

Hailey Koebel led the Stockaders with 14.

HOLGATE - Hannah Stevens had 15 for Holgate (4-0). Morgan Keeterle finished with 11, while Katie Fisher and Lauren Bates had 10 each.

Jessica Nienberg tallied 10 for Miller City (1-3).

Sarah Perkins scored 12 points for visiting Emmanuel Christian. Lexie Weaver and Madi Smith had 10 each.
