Rebels, Cougars advance in DI tourney

BLADE STAFF

Division I

Bowsher 79, Waite 69

At Whitmer, Mookie Mustafaa poured in 23 points as the Rebels advanced in sectional play. Eric Hopkins added 16 points, Nate Allen 14, and Kharri Dailey 12 for Bowsher.

DeVonte Hughes scored 22 points for the Indians while Travon Howard contributed 18 and Aaron Riley 14.

At Whitmer, Allen Gant had 19 points and Jordan Hunt scored 18 to lead the Cougars to a win over the Knights.

Nate White led St. Francis with eight points.

Perrysburg 62, Lima Senior 47

At Liberty-Benton, Scott Milne hit for 15 points, Jake Pfleghaar added 14, and Shane Edwards chipped in 13 for the Yellow Jackets.

Devon Allen had 17 and Jerry Hutchins 11 for the Spartans.

Fremont Ross 50, Clay 23

At Liberty-Benton, the Little Giants' Skylar Reffner had 15 and Diante Pettiford and Jay Carnicom each had 10.

Patricc Booth scored 10 for the Eagles.

Start 46, Springfield 40

At Central, James Grays produced 13 points and Robert Wietryzkowski finished with 12, including three 3-pointers, to lead the Spartans (11-6) past the Blue Devils (4-15).

Anthony Jones paced Springfield with 11 points.

Northview 48, Maumee 44

At Central, James Racicot pumped in a team-high 19 points to lead the Wildcats (8-13) past the Panthers (8-13).

Shawn Flanagan poured in a game-high 22 points and Dominique King added 11 for Maumee.

Division II

Bowling Green 54, Otsego 41

SWANTON -- Vitto Brown poured in 22 points and Andrew Herringshaw scored 14 for the Bobcats.

Jermone Griffin scored 14 and Drake Johnson 11 for Otsego.

Defiance 57, Bryan 35

SWANTON -- Anthony Kidston scored 12 points and Jordan Tobias had 11 to lead Defiance which raced off to a 27-14 halftime lead.

Adam McBride led Bryan with eight points.

Woodward 65, Port Clinton 48

At Clay, Jalen Wells notched 19 points as the Polar Bears stayed alive.

Demarcus Smith had 16 points and Delano McCabe 10 for Woodward.

Kelly Freimark and Aaron Mier each had 11 points for Port Clinton.

Division III

Evergreen 52, Swanton 38

At Anthony Wayne, Cory Mossing scored 16 points and Logan Pinkleman 11 to lead the Vikings.

Travis Hilton led Swanton with 12 points and Paul Kennedy had 11.

Patrick Henry 56, Liberty Center 43

At Anthony Wayne, Patrick Henry outscored Liberty Center 34-23 in the second half.

Kodi Nafziger led the Patriots with 20 points, Austin Christman and Kolby Seeman added 11 each. Kody Snyder scored 17 for the Tigers.

Division IV

Fayette 53, Edon 32

At Bryan, Trevor Cox poured in 21 points to lead the Eagles.

Keegan Long had 13 for the Bombers.

McComb 49, Pandora-Gilboa 35

At Ottawa-Glandorf, McComb outscored Pandora-Gilboa 31-16 in the second half.

Dalton Buck scored 14 and Jerry Brown 11 for McComb. Owen Lugibihl scored 14 and Nathan Shutz 10 for Pandora-Gilboa.

Ottawa Hills 41, Fremont St. Joseph 20

At Eastwood, Geoffrey Beans and Lucas Janowicz each scored 16 points as the Green Bears advanced.
