Napoleon secures outright crown

Undefeated Wildcats beat Bobcats; Valdez leads Southview in rout

BOWLING GREEN — The Wild­cats staked them­selves to an early ad­van­tage with two first-quar­ter punt re­turns for touch­downs and rolled to a vic­tory Fri­day night to clinch a North­ern Lakes League­outright ti­tle.

Nick George ram­bled 63 yards with the first re­turn to score, then eight min­utes later Char­lie Har­ris re­sponded with a 35-yarder.

George fin­ished with three TDs, also run­ning for scores of 15 and five yards, while Har­ris also scored on a nine-yard run. Jor­dan Lauf grabbed a 25-yard TD pass from David Yunker for Na­po­leon (9-0-1, 7-0). Bry­ant Schlade to­taled 138 rush­ing yards.

For the Bob­cats (3-7, 1-6), An­drew Den­nis tossed TD strikes to Aaron Don­ald­son and Brock Pow­ers, while Is­rael Vento ran for a touch­down. Pow­ers paced the ground game with 115 yards.

Southview 62, Northview 0

Austin Val­dez paced Southview in a blow­out vic­tory over Northview pass­ing for 184 yards and two touch­downs and rush­ing 11 times for 205 yards and a one-yard TD.

Ah­mad Parker added TD runs of five and 10 yards for the Cou­gars (6-4, 5-2). Keith Gil­more scored on runs of 6 and 19 yards and caught a 49-yard TD pass from Val­dez.

Val­dez hit J.J. Pinck­ney for a 14-yard TD strike. Da­mon Gresinger scored on a 16-yard run, and Grif­fin McDon­ald added a one-yard TD run.

The Cou­gar de­fense held Northview (3-7, 1-6) to 81 to­tal yards.

An­thony Wayne 55, Spring­field 20

Sam Bruno and Tommy Eichen­laub com­bined for 242 yards and five touch­downs on 17 car­ries as the Gen­er­als rolled at home.

Bruno led An­thony Wayne (5-5, 3-4) with eight car­ries for 130 yards and three TDs. Eichen­laub fin­ished with nine at­tempts for 112 yards and two scores as the Gen­er­als led 55-7 through three quar­ters.

Eric Zelina and Cal John­son each caught TD passes from Jake Reid. Jayden Cor­bitt added a 23-yard in­ter­cep­tion re­turn for the Gen­er­als’ fi­nal score.

Spring­field (1-9, 1-6) was led by Eli­jah Todd, who had 16 car­ries for 60 yards and a touch­down. Scott Sey­mour added a one-yard TD run and a nine-yard TD pass to Je­sean Fisher.
