Mules’ Boss rushes for 146 yards, 4 TDs

Bedford 49, Ypsilanti Lincoln 27

YPSILANTI, Mich. — Bedford improved to 3-0 as the Mules rushed for 424 yards on Friday night.

Brad Boss led the ground attack with 12 carries for 146 yards and four touchdowns. He scored on runs of 2, 15, 64 and 4 yards.

Alec Hullibarger added 16 carries for 127 yards a one-yard TD run and Derek Shepherd scored on an 11-yard run. Jeremiah Harris scored on a 30-yard interception return.

Eugene Smith passed for three TDs for Lincoln (2-1) and Jacob Muhammad returned a kickoff 98 yards for a score.

 

Summerfield 42, Sand Creek 7

SAND CREEK, Mich. — Jake Golkiewicz rushed for 231 yards and two touchdowns and added another score receiving for Summerfield.

Zach Philipp was 8 of 14 passing for 181 yards and three touchdowns. He hooked up for scores with Golkiewicz (45 yards), and Landin Stone (31, 17). Stone added two fumble recoveries.

Brennan Kosarue caught four passes for 61 yards. Golkiewicz rushed 25 times and had TD runs of 62 and 61 yards.

Kolyne Suydam capped the scoring with a 10-yard run.

Summerfield wracked up 477 yards and held Sand Creek to just 91.

 

Clinton 33, Whiteford 6

CLINTON — Clinton quarterback T.J. Baker completed 10 of 17 passes for 229 yards and four touchdowns.

Baker threw two scoring strikes to Matthew Sexton and two more to Collin Poore. Poore also ran for a 20-yard touchdown for Clinton (3-0). Poore rushed 12 times for 144 yards and caught three passes for 106 yards.

Colin Lake caught a 24-yard pass from John Reddit for the only TD for Whiteford (2-1).
