Rogers girls win in Florida

Central Catholic boys defeat Waite by 66 points

GIRLS

Rogers 58, Knoxville Christian 41

NAPLES, Fla. — Sasha Dailey pumped in 19 points Monday to lead Rogers at the Naples Holiday Shootout in girls basketball.

The Rams owned a 33-32 lead at halftime, but outscored Knoxville (Tenn.) Christian 18-8 in the third quarter. Sydney Petty added nine points for Rogers (8-1).

Ottawa Hills 45, Woodmore 28

ELMORE — Allie Dewire led the Green Bears with 14 points, and Olivia VanSlooten added 11.

Grace Weirich led the Wildcats with eight points.

Whitmer 66, Lake 35

Sam Meinen scored 12 and Keshyra McCarver added 10 for the Panthers (6-2).

The Flyers (4-7) were led by Jordyn Taylor with 14.

University Liggett 51, Archbold 46

DETROIT — Lola Ristovski scored 17 to lead Grosse Pointe Woods (Mich.) University Liggett (2-2) in a Motor City Classic game.

The Blue Streaks (11-1) were paced by Jesse Fidler with 16, Cassidy Wyse with 15, and Cassidy Williams with 11.

Genoa 57, Old Fort 41

GENOA — Ciarra Albright poured in 23 points and Haley Pickard chipped in 14 for the Comets.

Ally Adelsperger scored 12 for the Stockaders.

Eastwood 43, Tiffin Columbian 38

PEMBERVILLE — Mackenzie Albright scored 15 to lead the Eagles (1-9). Emily Hayward had 10.

 

BOYS

Central Catholic 94, Waite 28

Marcus Winters and DeShone Kizer scored 15 points each for the Irish (7-0). Jermiah Braswell and Nate Harris each had 11, and Doug Biddle added 10.

The Indians (4-5) were led by Eric Neal, who scored 10 points.

Fairfield Christian 55, Toledo Christian 42

Keith Dewese sparked the visiting Knights (7-1) with 15 points.

Garshawn Paynther and Tyler Kempton scored 13 each for the Eagles (4-4).

Woodward 62, Clay 39

Roman Fane led the visiting Polar Bears (6-2) with 24 points. Tahron Watson added 12. Pat Booth led Clay (1-7) with 20.
