Paynther propels Eagles; Gibsonburg wins big at home

OBJECTToledo Christian 40, Maumee Valley 30

The Eagles took command in the third quarter with a 14-3 advantage for the home win Friday night in Toledo Area Athletic Conference boys basketball.

Garshawn Paynther tossed in 21 points for Toledo Christian (6-6, 4-2 TAAC). Kyle Kempton added 11.

Soloman Collins scored 11 for Maumee Valley (8-3, 4-2).

Gibsonburg 78, Danbury 34

GIBSONBURG — Jordan Kreglow paced the Golden Bears (8-2, 4-2) with 12 points. Adam Copley and Andy Burmeister added 10 each.

Dominic Manuella finished with nine points to lead Danbury (2-10, 1-5).
