Truck's escort was over the top
While driving south on I-75 the other day, I was wondering why traffic was going so slow. Twenty minutes later I found out. It was a wide-load tractor/trailer carrying four flatbed trailers. The rig had flashing lights, was labeled, had its own lighted/labeled double escorts, and not one, not two, but four lighted state highway patrol cars around it.
I'm just wondering about the justification for so much manpower. Do the patrolmen think that this is an unbelievably stupid waste of their time or is it just us motorists?
