RAISING DISABILITY AWARENESS

CTY ADA21p    10/21/2007  The Blade/Herral Long   Dan Wilkins  of Luckey oh  (he is on the board of) viewa traveling show at the Ability center       Summary: Between noon until 4 p.m., an event known as "The Road to  Freedom Tour" will be in town at the Ability Center. This is one of  three stops it's making in Ohio. The tour is a bus tour (with exhibits,  etc.) to bring awareness to the history of disability in American,  specifically the ADA. Those at the event, who will include U.S. Rep.  Marcy Kaptur (D. Toledo) and Jim Ward, president of the ADA watch and  the National Coalition for Disability Rights, will be in attendance. Dan Wilkins of Luckey, Ohio, looks at one of the displays in the Road to Freedom Tour at the Ability Center of Greater Toledo. The tour, designed to raise awareness of how the disabled have been treated in America through history, made three stops in Ohio, including the one yesterday in Toledo. Mr. Wilkins is a member of the board of the ability center.
