Year formed: An off-shoot of the popular modern country band Rodney Parker and Liberty Beach, the Bourbon Cowboys formed in 2011.
Style of music: Acoustic renditions of favorite modern and classic country hits, specializing in three-part vocal harmonies.
Sounds a little like: A night of good time acoustic honky tonk music.
Influences: Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Hank Williams, Jr., Hank Williams III, and maybe a little Led Zeppelin.
Favorite local venue: Russ' Roadhouse, The Campfire Grill, Winchesters.
Upcoming gigs: The Campfire Grill, 7 to 11 tonight; Russ' Roadhouse, Jan. 9, 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.; we currently rotate every other Thursday between those two venues.
