Samuel Marisco of Toledo, also a World War II veteran, examines a wheelchair at the Ohio column of the National World War II Memorial at the National Mall. The trip was funded by the northwest Ohio chapter of the Honor Flight Network. On Saturday, 85 World War II veterans and 65 aides from northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan will depart Toledo for a similar trip. An Honor Flight chapter from Henry County raised more than $60,000 to finance Saturday s trip.
