Katelyn Petrie, 9, dances at the Perrysburg Academy for Performing Arts with Maiya Combest, 7, right. The group of 20 is heading to Cedar Point to take a class and perform.
After being rained out Monday, 20 girls from the ages of 7 to 17 from the Perrysburg Academy of the Performing Arts performed Friday at Cedar Point.
The dancers performed at about 9 p.m. just before a Cedar Point light show called Luminosity began its routine. Luminosity includes dancing, music, and fireworks. The girls' dance was a hip-hop song, new to some of the Perrysburg girls who only had done ballet previously.
Cedar Point choreographers practiced with them during a "dance master class” Monday to prepare them for their performance.
