Joan Miller, of Rossford, center, picks out a few flowers to purchase Saturday morning at Penta Career Center in Perrysburg Township.
Flowers, trees, shrubs, dogs, trucks, tractors plus some children's activities were featured during Penta Career Center's second Ag Day, held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.
The floral design and greenhouse students conducted a spring flower sale, the landscape and turfgrass management students hosted a tree and shrub sale, small animal care students offered dog grooming services, and the gas and diesel engine students put on a truck and tractor show.
A few new activities were offered this year, including a kiddie tractor pull sled, said Jody Germann, instructor of landscape and turfgrass management and coordinator of Ag Day. "It is definitely a family-oriented event."

Mr. Germann said last year 600 people showed up in snow, sleet, and rain. He was hoping to get 1,000 people with better weather and the Relay For Life event being on campus at the same time.
The gas and diesel engine students' show included six different divisions including modern day farm equipment, antic farm equipment, motorcycles, off-road pave equipment, trucks, and home and gardening equipment.
"This is exciting," Mr. Germann said earlier in the week. "We've been planning for this for quite a long time it is a culmination of all we've done and celebration."
