At 6 p.m. Dave Carpenter took the stage with his acoustic guitar sounds. About the same time, Chortie the Clown, the YMCA Fun Bus with children's activities and face painting, miniature train, family fun-house, bubble machine, and the Perrysburg Fire Department kept the children busy.
There were also several vendors available for parents to browse including several local businesses.
“We really feel that our vendors help to create a more festive type atmosphere, plus we love supporting entrepreneurs in and around our community,” said Rick Thielen, Downtown Perrysburg Inc.'s executive director. “We also want to encourage all of the local businesses to be open and even extend their presence out onto the sidewalk in front of their store fronts.”
In 2010, Mr. Carpenter had his first solo album, The Jaegler, which was done in two days at a Ann Arbor studio. The album has seven accoustic-based tracks.
"It is wonderful that we have a community partner like ProMedica St. Luke’s Hospital, whose mission of 'improving your health and well-being' runs parallel with Downtown Perrysburg Inc.'s mission of improving our community,” Mr. Thielen said.
