Perrysburg prosecutor P. Martin Aubry accepts an award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving as Ohio's city prosecutor of the year at a Perrysburg City Council meeting this week.
Perrysburg prosecutor Martin Aubry has been honored by Mothers Against Drunk Driving as the city prosecutor of the year for the state of Ohio.
Mayor Nelson Evans presented Mr. Aubry with a plaque at the city council meeting Tuesday, noting the prosecutor's long affiliation with the advocacy group and his efforts against driving under the influence.
Mr. Aubry said it was meaningful to receive the plaque from Mayor Nelson who has served in law enforcement, and that the award was a credit to his whole office.
"We have a responsibility .. to make sure that we're doing things right," Mr. Aubry said.
The prosecutor said Perrysburg was critically positioned with the intersection of U.S. 80/90 and Interstate 75 in its court jurisdiction.
Perrysburg law director Mathew Beredo said it was a relief to not have to worry about how the prosecutor's office was handling things.
"He does an exceptional job at being fair, at being thorough," he said of Mr. Aubry.
