Example of some of the work under way along State Rt. 25, south of Front Street.
Roadwork will close Front Street tonight and Thursday this week and again Monday and Tuesday nights next week in Perrysburg between State Rt. 25 and Mulberry Street.
The closings will be from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for resurfacing by the Ohio Department of Transportation. To avoid the closed road drivers can take Louisiana Avenue or Mulberry Street out to Indiana Avenue and go west to West Boundary Street or State Rt. 25. The work could be delayed if the weather is bad.
State Rt. 25 also will be improved between Front Street and Findlay Street between now and June 30. Delays are expected as traffic, at times, will be restricted to one lane in each direction.
The alley between Sixth Street and Seventh Street will be closed to through traffic from Mulberry Street to Cherry Street from now until May 9. The closing is for city work on the storm sewer and on water main construction. The sewer separation costs the city about $2 million and is being done by Anderzak-Pitzen Construction in Metamora.
The city of Perrysburg plans more road improvements for this summer but hasn't yet decided on the exact time and places of the projects.
