The Penta Career Center Board of Education  has re-elected Robert Righi, of the Maumee Board of Education, as president.

Righi has been a member of the Penta board since 2004. In addition, William Green, of Swanton, who represents the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center, has been re-elected vice president of the board. Penta, a vocational school serving several school districts, is in Perrysburg Township.

During the meeting, Paul Walker, from the Bowling Green School District, was newly appointed to the Penta board. He replaces Stephen Cernkovich, also from the Bowling Green School District, whose term expired on Dec. 31. Walker’s term of office expires Dec. 31, 2014.

The following Penta board members began serving new terms through Dec. 31, 2014: Mark Schoenlein, who represents the Perrysburg School District; Kathy Limes, who represents the Wood County Educational Service Center; and William Green.

The following Board members are serving terms that expire Dec. 31, 2013:

Ken Sutter, who represents the Rossford School District; Joseph Rutherford, who represents the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West; Judith Sander, who represents the North Point Educational Service Center; Judith Paredes, who represents the Wood County Educational Service Center; and Mr. Righi.

Also during the board’s organizational meeting, members voted to keep the 5:15 p.m. meeting time on the second Wednesday of each month. The meetings are held in the Board of Education meeting room on the Penta campus.

The Penta board is comprised of nine members who are chosen to serve through appointment by their respective Boards of Education.
