Perrysburg steamrolled over visiting Anthony Wayne tonight as the Yellow Jackets racked up 581 yards of total offense.
Perrysburg finished with 369 rushing yards in a 63-23 rout over the Generals on Homecoming Night.
Junior quarterback Gus Dimmerling rushed for 153 yards and scored on runs of 6, 6, 34, and 42 yards. Dimmerling also threw for 131 yards, connecting on eight of 13 passes, and one TD.
Senior running back Mark Delas finished with 151 yards on 20 carries and scored on runs of 1 and 6 yards.
Perrysburg (5-2 overall) remains alone in first place in the Northern Lakes League with a 4-0 record.
Anthony Wayne (3-4) fell to 2-2 in the NLL.
The Generals were within six points early in the second quarter, trailing just 20-14. But Perrysburg scored a crucial TD with just 11 seconds left in the second quarter to take a 42-23 lead into the half. The Yellow Jackets then pitched a shutout in the second half while adding three more scores.
