Three Perrysburg High School orchestra students participated in The OMEA All-State Orchestra on Friday, Feb. 8 in Columbus.
Sophomore Henry Yang, violin, senior Rebekah Meyers, viola, and senior Sarah Smith, cello, were selected from hundreds of students throughout Ohio to perform with The OMEA All-State Orchestra.
"The All-State Orchestra was one of the best memories of my senior year. It's so incredible to play in an orchestra with students from all across the state and with such amazing talent," stated Sarah Smith.
They played Ruslan and Ludmila Overture by Glinka, Night On Bald Mountain by Mussorgsky and The Firebird Suite by Stravinsky.
The All State Orchestra was under the direction of Gary Lewis, music director and conductor of the Midland-Odessa Symphony Orchestra in Texas.
