SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — Brandon Hoelzer and Luke Berger each fired a 3-under 69 Wednesday in the second round to help propel the Owens Community College’s men's golf team up five spots to third place at the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II national tournament.
The Express shot a 281 and has a 579 two-day total. South Mountain (Ariz.) CC also shot a 281 and remains in first place with a 565.
Blaze Hogan shot a 70, Darren Gessner scored a 73 and Walter Dorosh finished with a 77 to round out the Owens scoring.
Hoelzer is in second place with a 5-under 139, three shots behind Parkland College's David Keenan.
