Gross Electric, a Sylvania Township company on Reynolds Road, has received the 2012 Shade Job of the Year Award from Lutron Electronics.
The award, which is part of a national competition among lighting showrooms that use the product, was presented at the 2013 Dallas International Lighting Market in January.
Mike Feather, lighting controls specialist at Gross Electric, was responsible for implementing Lutron shading systems for a remodeling job in Toledo. The award-winning project consisted of shade systems and controls for the homeowner's master bathroom and guest bedroom.
"Security was the main concern for the homeowners," according to Feather. "The Lutron shading system and lighting controls offered them the privacy and peace of mind they wanted."
Gross Electric is a third-generation family owned and operated lighting and electrical supply distributor with stores in Sylvania Township and Ann Arbor.
