It’s time for “Tuesdays in Sylvania,” the new outdoor market on Main Street that will have local farmers and artisans in downtown Sylvania.
The market from 4 to 7 p.m. will begin on June 4 and continue every Tuesday through Oct. 1. The market will be in the parking lot at 5723 N. Main St.
Local growers participating are Creque Farms, Gust Bros. Produce, Ackerman Raspberries, Garden Nursery, Keil Farms, Farnsel Farms, Eden Fresh. Other vendors in the market will be Heaven’s Gate Soy Candles, Beautiful Blooms by Jen, Wines Bee Yard, Vivian Miller, Sugar Cube, LLC, and Earth to Oven Organics.
The Downtown Sylvania Association is sponsoring this event to showcase local businesses and to bring traffic to downtown Sylvania.
Jacquie Olender of Heaven’s Gate Soy Candles and Secretary of the Downtown Sylvania Association, said, “We want to help people understand the importance of buying and supporting local businesses. When you buy local the money spent then stays within our community.”
To help revitalize and beautify the Sylvania downtown, the Downtown Sylvania Association was formed.
