Byrd and Spangler
Lourdes University is to host the 2014 Joseph M. Magliochetti Leadership Summit on April 2.
The event at 11:30 a.m. at the Toledo Club’s Belvedere Room will have presentations by Vincent C. Byrd, president and chief operating officer of J.M. Smucker Co. and Dean L. Spangler, chairman of Spangler Candy. The two local business leaders will speak on the topic of "Basic Beliefs of Principled Businesses.”
Following the presentations, Mr. Byrd and Mr. Spangler will be joined by Paul Smucker Wagstaff, president of U.S. Retail Consumer Foods for the Smucker Co., for a panel discussion to address audience-submitted questions and topics related to this year’s theme. A fifth generation member of the Smucker family, Mr. Wagstaff has been with the company for 18 years serving in various executive positions, including president of U.S. Retail, Oils and Baking.
The Leadership Summit is made possible by the Joseph M. Magliochetti Endowed Chair of Business & Finance. The event is sponsored by Dana Holding Corp. and hosted by the Lourdes Masters of Organizational Leadership Alumni Branch.
