Officially, it's still fall until winter makes it arrival on Dec. 21, but the holiday season already is here, and area residents Sunday took part in a family celebration, Evergreens Come Alive, at Olander Park's Nederhouser Community Hall in Sylvania.

Program participants celebrated winter-time activities with Rags and his best friend, Mary Leugers, as they cozied up in front of the fire with a story.

Too, participants had the opportunity to decorate a miniature family tree with natural ornaments, make tasty treats for animals, and savor seed snacks.
