Golf outings can be great networking tools and a chance to get to know someone a bit better. Most importantly, golf outings are a chance to have fun and to raise money for charity.

The Fall Classic benefiting Mom’s House Sept. 16 at Highland Meadows Golf Club netted about $12,000.
Mom’s House, founded in 1993, assists young single parents to become educated and to be effective parents. Many area celebrities joined the fun that included golf and dinner with an auction.
Highland Meadows Golf Club chipped in for charity: The Rally for the Cure golf event in July netted almost $12,000 and The Arnold Palmer Prostate Cancer Foundation reaped $980. Then on Sept. 9 the Red Tee Challenge for Multiple Sclerosis netted $3,160.
