Loosen your belts a notch. It’s that time of year to make room in your belly for the sweet holiday treats handmade by Sister Gretchen.
This year, Sister Gretchen’s Christmas Bazaar and Bake Sale is hosted from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Regina Conference Center at 6832 Convent Blvd., adjacent to the Lourdes University campus. Regina Hall is located in the northeast corner of the campus, next to Queen of Peace Chapel.
Featured for sale the Sister’s of St. Francis created Christmas crafts, such as Advent wreaths and holiday decorations. Alongside the crafts, patrons can have their fill of holiday baked goods from cookies, fruit cake, nut breads, pies, and coffee cakes. Sister Gretchen and volunteer bakers have also spent the past several months in the kitchen making candies, fudge, jams, and jellies.
Proceeds from the sale benefit the many ministries of the Sisters of St. Francis, including efforts in Haiti where to sisters are located.
