The park hosted the Cabin Fever Contra Dance to help residents chase away seasonal winter blues.
The community dance was based on the traditional folk style contra dance, which had couples of all ages dancing two-by-two in a line, swirling around the dance floor.
Those not familiar with the dance sequence easily followed along as Marlin Whitaker called the steps. The Root Cellar String Band played the folksy tunes.
Olander Park, on Sylvania Avenue in Sylvania, hosts two dances annually, and this one also included a potluck dinner, for which dancers brought a homemade dish.
