Sylvania area crime log, fire runs 11/07

Here are the crimes reported to Sylvania and Sylvania Township police departments in the past week. Sylvania Township Fire Department runs also are listed.

Sylvania Police

Oct. 31

Robbery. Obstructing official business. Warrant arrest. Criminal trespass. Kroger Timberstone, 7545 Sylvania Ave., store manager reported that a Sylvania woman tried to steal miscellaneous groceries, totaling $103.98, from the store.

Insurance fraud. Flower Hospital, 5200 Harroun Rd., reported that someone tried to use the identity of another to pay for services incurred at the facility.

Nov. 5

Misuse of credit card. Patricia Hoag, 6000 block of Hawthorne, reported that someone fraudulently used her credit card information.

Theft. Vehicle trespass. Peter Wolfram, 4500 block of South Lake George Road, reported theft of Oakley sunglasses, Rayban sunglasses, locker keys, and a family photo album from his vehicle.

Sylvania Township Police

Oct. 30

Theft of motor vehicle. Yark BMW, 6019 W. Central Ave., employee Keith Wallace reported that his navy blue 2012 Dodge 4-door crew cab truck was stolen while he was at work.

Nov. 1

Theft. Huntington Bank, 6655 W. Central Ave., a woman stated that she withdrew money from the Huntington ATM and left her debit card in the machine. Someone then used the card to withdraw $300 in cash from her account.

Nov. 3

Theft. Abby Saville, 2200 block of St. Charles, reported theft of her purse from her unlocked vehicle.

Theft. Meijer's Get Go Gas Station, 7240 W. Central Ave., while the clerk was distracted, a person stole lighters and many 5-Hour energy drinks.

Nov. 5

Breaking and entering. Christopher Morgan, 5144 Estess Dr., reported theft from his garage of small tool box, saw, grinder, and drill.
