Here are the crimes reported to Sylvania and Sylvania Township police departments in the past week. Sylvania Township Fire Department runs also are listed.
Theft. Frickers, 6339 Monroe Street, had an employee who filed a report saying that $100 was stolen from the business.
Sylvania Township Police Department
Theft from motor vehicle. Douglas Batdorf, 3500 block of Centennial Road, reported the theft of a Honeywell generator, a pressure washer, a Generac generator, and a wire welder from a box truck he keeps at a storage lot.
Breaking and entering. Carter Lumber, 2716 N. Reynolds Rd., an employee reported someone jumped over the fence leading to the lumber yard and stole roofing materials.
Theft. Tamara Decator, 4400 block of Dogwood Lane, reported that her credit card was stolen and used at Kroger where someone charged $192.29 to the card.
Burglary. Anita Ceccanese, 2300 block of Chriswood Road, reported that a garage door was standing open and had signs of forced entry. The homeowner was on vacation and was reached by a neighbor. The department planned to follow up with the homeowner for a list of items that were stolen during the event.
