Sylvania area crime log, fire runs 7/9

Here are the crime reports from July 2 through July 9 from Sylvania and Sylvania Township police departments. Also included are the fire runs from the Sylvania Township Fire Department.

Sylvania Police

July 2

Theft. James Savickas, 6000 block of Glenbeigh Drive, reported a SiriusXM radio valued at $100, a Garmin GPS valued at $115, and a TracFone prepaid phone valued at $400 stolen from his vehicle.

July 3

Theft. Michael Kujawa, 4900 block of Burkewood Court, reported his Ford Taurus 2006 stolen. It was valued at $4,500.

July 6

Theft. MaryLee Flick, 4300 block of County Road 139, McComb Ohio, reported several credit cards and $40 stolen from her vehicle. The car was parked at Tam-O-Shanter, 7060 Sylvania Ave.

Sylvania Township Police

July 3

Theft. Kathy Daniel, 6600 block of Samaria Road, Ottawa Lake, Michigan,reported an unknown person broke into her car while parked at the Family Dollar Store, 5644 Whiteford Road. Items stolen were an iPhone valued at $600, a pair of glasses valued at $200, a makeup bag, a checkbook, and a duffel bag.

July 4

Theft. Diane Frissell, 13000 block of Shady Lane, Monroe, Michigan, reported that stamps, return address labels, and $12 missing from her wallet. She accidentally left it at the BP gas station, 6437 W. Central Ave.

Theft. Karen McVickers, 1500 block of Woodville Road, Millbury, Ohio, reported an unknown male broke into her vehicle while it was parked at the Franciscan Care Center, 4111 N. Holland-Sylvania Rd. Her checkbook was stolen, an identification card, a credit card, and $145. There was a witness to the incident.

Theft. Marian Campbell, 4600 block of Boydson Drive, reported an unknown male broke into her vehicle while it was parked at the Franciscan Care Center, 4111 N. Holland-Sylvania Rd. Stolen items included her purse valued at $40, $80, a checkbook, a credit card, and identification cards. There was a witness to the incident.

July 5

Breaking and entering. Thomas McNett, 5900 block of Artwell Drive, reported seven electric saws and one welder stolen from a shed on his property. Tracks from the welder cart were seen on the property.

July 6

Theft. Jonathan Romoli, 5900 block of Settlers Ridge Circle, reported several credit cards and a personal identification card stolen from his vehicle while parked at Sylvan Prairie Park, 8501 Brint Rd.

July 7

Theft. Inass Yassine, 2400 Wimbledon Park Boulevard, one gold bracelet valued at $7,000, another gold bracelet valued at $5,000, and a gold coin collection valued at $6,750 stolen from his home.

July 3

6800 block of Convent Boulevard, ring or jewelry removal.

5200 block of Calvin Avenue, unauthorized burning.

July 4

5300 block of Fox Run, arcing shorted electrical equipment.

July 5

6100 block of Central Avenue, passenger vehicle fire.

5800 block of Greenhaven Road, unauthorized burning.

July 7

3600 block of Holland-Sylvania Road, gas leak.

July 8

4500 block of Charlesgate Road, fires in structure.

6200 block of Bonsels Parkway, unauthorized burning.
