Hundreds of students gathered at Lourdes University’s Franciscan Center on today for a program hosted by Leadership Toledo.
The program, entitled “Students in Action: Leadership, Learning & Serving,” is to train high school students how to “redefine the culture of their school campuses into places that thrive with enthusiasm for charity, community service, and teamwork,” the nonprofit group says.
The event featured training sessions, given by Leadership Toledo staff, as well as instructors from Bowling Green State University and Lourdes University. The event ended with the start of a service learning project.
