Take a virtual trip this fall to our closest neighbor in space with Field Trip to the Moon, a program showing at Lourdes University’s Appold Planetarium.

Feel the ground shake beneath you as you experience a NASA rocket launch and orbit the earth to get an astronaut's view of a sunrise in space.

The show is a virtual journey created using NASA engineering models and scientific data. Like NASA's astronauts, you will come face-to-face with the challenges and excitement of traveling through space to land on the moon. Along the way, you'll discover some of the differences between the earth and the moon and what makes our planet unique and habitable.

The show is at 7:30 p.m. on these Saturdays: Sept. 13, Sept. 27, Oct. 18, Oct. 25, Nov. 8, and Nov. 22

Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for children under 12 and for Lourdes students presenting their student ID.

Shows at the planetarium are limited to 50.

For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Laura Megeath, Appold Planetarium coordinator, at or 419-517-8897.
