AUDITIONS

Auditions for the Perrysburg Musical Theatre Company's The Best of Broadway will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 at Next Stage Studios, 25581 Fort Meigs Rd, suite D, in Perrysburg. The show will be presented Feb. 7 and 8 at the Commodore Auditorium in Perrysburg. The Best of Broadway will feature songs from Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Rent, West Side Story, Mamma Mia, Wicked, and more hit shows. The concert is a fund-raiser for the group's summer musical, The Music Man.

The musical theater company is looking for musical acts, including vocalists, dancers, instrumentalists, and other talented people. Audition packets are available at www.perrysburgmusicaltheatre.org. Adults 12 and over should prepare 90 seconds of any Broadway song for the audition. Children 11 and under should print out the music in the audition packet on the website and learn either of the songs in the packet. Auditions for Waterville Playshop's production of Over the River and Through the Woods will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church, 22 N. Second St., Waterville. There will be cold readings from the script in a group audition. Four mature adults, two males and two females, preferably old enough to have adult grandchildren, are needed. Participants will be asked to speak with an Italian-American affectation to their speaking voice. Also, one male and one female, mid-to-late 20s through early 30s, no particular dialect, are needed.
