A man yesterday robbed the Fifth Third Bank branch at 3053 Monroe St. of an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said. The man entered the bank shortly after 9 a.m. and handed a teller a note, in which he threatened to shoot if the teller didn't comply. The robber fled on foot in an unknown direction after receiving money, police said. He was described as 25 to 30 years old, about 6 feet tall, with a slender build and black hair. He was wearing a tan or khaki Carhartt coat, red shirt, and knit hat.
