Suspect arrested after 2 teens shot

Two teens were shot early yesterday in the 1600 block of Starr Avenue near Joseph P. Burnett Park on Toledo s east side and a suspect was arrested, police said.

The victims, whose names were not released, were taken to a local hospital. Both were shot in the back and one was shot in the hand as well, according to the police report.

Police responding found the victims at about 6:15 a.m. at 1613 Starr. Officers arrested Jerimy R. Kohn, 21, of 1613 Starr a short time later. The shooting occurred at the same address, police said.

The suspect was charged with two counts of felonious assault and booked into the Lucas County jail, police said. He is to be arraigned tomorrow in Toledo Municipal Court.
