Fire strikes home in Williams County
EDON, Ohio --Area crews fought a house fire Monday in Williams County’s Northwest Township, about a mile east of the state line, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
No injuries were reported, according to the patrol’s Bowling Green post. An unknown number of occupants had escaped unhurt by the time state troopers arrived about 8:10 a.m. at the scene off U.S. 20 near Williams County Road 150, the patrol said.
Area fire crews extinguished the blaze by 12:46 p.m.
The fire occurred about eight miles north of Edon, about 60 miles west of Toledo.
Its cause is under investigation.
