Man robs South Toledo store

BLADE STAFF

A man who robbed a South Toledo store Monday afternoon got away with about $200 in cash, police said.

No arrests have been made stemming from the Dollar General robbery at 2857 Airport Hwy., at 4:05 p.m.

Police said a man went into the store and demanded the clerk hand over cash from the register and put it in a white plastic bag he carried. The man demanded the cash a second time, telling the clerk to cooperate and “don’t get shot over stupid [stuff],” according to a Toledo police report.

The suspect fled out of the main doors toward Barclay Drive. A witness told police they saw the man get into a dark blue sport utility vehicle with two other men.

The suspect is described as a black man, about 5 feet, 5 inches, weighing about 130 to 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black gloves, and a white mask.
