GRAND RAPIDS, Ohio -- A 9-year-old boy died Friday night after possibly drowning, the Wood County Sheriff's Office said.
The Sheriff's Office received a report of the possible drowning in the 22000 block of W. Poe Road at about 9:15 p.m. Wood County deputies, along with members of Grand Rapids fire and rescue and the Sheriff's Office Dive Team, were dispatched to the scene.
The boy, who was not identified, was located about 10:30 p.m., and pronounced dead while en route to the emergency room.
