Michigan police investigating body found in Monroe County


MONROE -- Michigan State Police are investigating the discovery of a female's body in Monroe County's Frenchtown Township, authorities said today.

The unidentified body was found about 3:45 p.m. Thursday in a wooded field off South Stony Creek Road near LaPrad Road, according to Michigan State Police.

Because of an advanced stage of decomposition, the manner of death is unclear, police said.
