Rural Wauseon man killed in Fulton County after he tried to jump onto moving tractor

BLADE STAFF

ARCHBOLD, Ohio -- A rural Wauseon man working on a harvest crew was killed in Fulton County's German Township today after he tried to jump onto a moving tractor, Ohio Highway Patrol troopers said.

The incident occurred about 7:40 p.m. at County Road 24 just north of County Road F.

Troopers said a 13-year-old boy was operating the tractor, which was pulling two gravity bed wagons loaded with corn, when Kyle L. Beck, 18, ran from behind, tried to jump aboard the tractor, and fell to the ground. He was run over by the wagons.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers are continuing an investigation.
