A 38-year-old man was shot tonight in North Toledo, police said.
The man was shot at 9:22 p.m. near Lagrange Street and Delaware Avenue, said Sgt. Roy Kennedy. He told officers that he was walking down the street when he heard several gunshots, and realized he was hit in the hip.
He was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, and his injuries were not believed to be life threatening. Sergeant Kennedy said police were not yet releasing the man's name because they were not sure if his family had been notified.
The man told police that he saw three men running from the scene. Officers called in a canine unit to try to track any footprints in the snow in the area, but no such tracks were found, Sgt. Kennedy said.
Police have no suspects at this time.
