The Lucas County Fire Chief’s Association is asking homeowners and business owners to help keep fire hydrants on their properties clear of snow and other debris year-round.
During the winter months, firefighters are sometimes faced with up to several minutes spent trying to locate fire hydrants buried in the snow when responding to incidents, according to a news release issued by the fire chief’s association.
