Reward grows to find suspect in Oct. death

Nearly five months after Jordan Harris-Jones was fatally shot in her West Toledo apartment, law enforcement officials are offering an increased reward for information leading to the suspect.

Charged with murder for the Oct. 13 death of the 23-year-old woman is Marquis Walker, 29, of 1248 Willow Ave.

Through Crime Stoppers, Toledo police have offered a $2,500 reward, and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force offered a matching reward.

Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111 or 1-866-492-6833.

Ms. Harris-Jones and Walker had dated. She was found dead in her apartment at 1912 W. Alexis Rd.

Police said they have exhausted all of their leads, and they do not know where Walker is.

“If we knew we would more than likely be there,” police Lt. Dan Gerken said.

Police describe Walker as black, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a Chinese symbol tattooed on the right side of his neck, “Walker” tattooed on his left arm, “Quis” tattooed on his right arm, and “Quis” tattooed on his neck. Police consider him to be dangerous.

“He’s a violent individual,” U.S. Deputy Marshal Rodney Hartzell said.
