Police ID body pulled from burning vehicle in Monroe Twp.


MONROE — The man pulled from a burning car in Monroe Township today was identified as Tyler Cook.

Mr. Cook, 23, of White Lake, Mich., was pulled from his vehicle by two witnesses who happened upon the vehicle at about 12:47 a.m., according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. Deputies were dispatched to Telegraph Road, south of Albain Road, for a vehicle fire.

Paramedics on scene attempted to revive the man but were unsuccessful.

The cause of the fire and the cause of death are still under investigation, said Sgt. Jeff Pauli.
