Area police departments in joint training

Police officers from Ottawa Hills, Bowling Green State Uni-versity, and the University of Toledo took part Tuesday in an eight-hour training course that stressed teamwork and legal standards in its exercises. The training is provided at no charge; officers from other area departments are to be trained today and Thursday.

Officers from the University of Toledo Police Department, Ottawa Hills, and Bowling Green attended an eight-hour training course on Tuesday. Hosted at the University of Toledo's Scott Park Campus, officers got an updated class in searching "unknown-risk and high-risk building searches." The training is free for the departments and is conducted by trainers from the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy. More officers are to be trained today and Thursday.
