A Toledo man was indicted Friday on charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and aggravated vehicular assault for a crash that killed one of his passengers and seriously injured the other.

Brian Hackett-Foster, 31, of 713 Holland-Sylvania Rd. was charged in Lucas County Common Pleas Court for a May 24 crash in East Toledo that left Maxine Brunley, 30, of Toledo dead and Lisa Paul, 38, of Toledo injured.

Police said Mr. Hackett-Foster was eastbound on Main Street approaching Sixth Street just after 10 p.m. when his vehicle struck a curb, crossed the sidewalk, and continued through to Sixth Street, where it struck a curb and a light pole.
