IDA, Mich. — A suspect has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery Tuesday of a local filling station.
Authorities received a tip that led to the robbery suspect’s arrest Friday evening in the parking lot at the Cabela’s store in nearby Dundee, Monroe County Sheriff Dale Malone said in a statement. The suspect’s name is withheld pending arraignment, but he was described as having connections to the Ida and Dundee area.
The BP station at 3251 Lewis Ave. in Ida Township was robbed about 9:25 p.m. Tuesday by a lone male who brandished a knife at a clerk and demanded cash. The robber fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
