GOP candidate urges cooperation to fix roads

BLADE STAFF

Kevin Haddad, Republican candidate for Lucas County commissioner, on Friday urged the county and Toledo to cooperate on securing state funding to fix roads.

Mr. Haddad — a former Sylvania Township trustee who is running against Ben Roberts, a former director of the Lucas County Board of Elections, for the Republican nomination — said the city and county could cooperate to repair roads in the border areas of the city.

Incumbent Democratic Commissioner Carol Contrada faces Spencer Township Trustee Michael Hood for the Democratic nomination.
